What is Nature Tourism?
Here are some definitions for Nature-based tourism:

“Tourism primarily concerned with the direct enjoyment of some relatively undisturbed phenomenon of nature”
- Valentine, (1990)

“A style of tourism which ‘combines education, recreation and often adventure”
- e. Laarman and Durst(1987)

“Travelling to relatively undisturbed or uncontaminated natural areas with the specific objective of studying, admiring and the scenery and its wild plants and animals, as well as any existing cultural manifestations”
- Boo(1990)

“Tourism based on the enjoyment of natural areas and the observation of nature that has a low impact environmentally, is labour intensive and contributes socially and economically to the nation”
- Lucas(1984)

“Responsible travel to natural areas, which conserves the environment and improves the welfare of local people.”
